The band Jay R – Vocals Eddie Shredder – Guitar Davey Kiss – Bass
JACKVIPER emerged from the dirty backstreets of London in the summer of 2005, when Kiss, Shredder and the Ferlanger, decided to collectively raise a a JD-soaked middle finger in the air, in defiance of the characterless manufactured bullshit that was dominating the UK airwaves.
The search for a like-minded rocker to front the
band then began, but after a few weeks it became apparent how few
rockstars there were that could handle fronting such an ambitious
project. That was until in strutted Jay R. Sounding like a cross between
Joe Leste and Sebastian Bach and looking like a young Bret Michaels, Jay
R had the presence and persona to complete the trashy foursome
perfectly. JACKVIPER have featured on several major national UK tours supporting multiplatinum selling artists such as Vixen, House of Lords, Slunt, and Tracii Guns and also toured Germany with Phil Lewis' LA Guns. JACKVIPER are the first unsigned band in history to have a full song pre-loaded onto half a million Creative Zen V MP3 players, and have recently landed an endorsement deal from amp giants Marshall Amplification. JACKVIPER have provided the soundtrack to the Axl Rose DVD: "The Prettiest Star" and been featured twice in Europe's biggest metal magazine Metal Hammer who describe the band as having "The speed of Motörhead and the intensity of Guns N' Roses". JACKVIPER will also be on Perris Records upcoming international release ‘The Perris International Network CD’ released in Feb 07 having first been featured on Perris Records' "Hollywood Hairspray V" compilation released in Feb 06.
