KarmaDeva began with the musical collaboration of singer-songwriter Jane (best known at the time for her comedic writing and acting partership with Julia Davis - BBC2s Nighty Night and Human Remains) and bassist Pete Stanness.
Emerging on the Bristol scene as an Indie Alt Rock four piece to instant appreciation and rave reviews KarmaDeva have been gigging around the Southwest and London armed with their unique blend of driving rhythms, anthemic songs and dark melodic gems.
Playing venues such as The Carling Academy, Bristol Bierkeller, Newport City Live Arena, Caernarfen Castle, The Joiners and The Fleece & Firkin they've opened for an ecletic mix of bands ranging from The Avengers, Ten Years After, Echobelly, Caravan, Arthur Lee and Love, Headwound, Nazareth and The Damned.
The band spent some time in the Netherlands appearing at festivals and various venues before disappearing to a remote Scooby-doo-esque haunted cheese farm to record some new tracks for their latest EP, "Dreamless Sleep".
