MelonFarmer is an exciting, original 4 piece rock band, at the forefront of Bristol's expanding music scene. A blend of complex rhythm section, elegant guitar and powerful vocals, combined with slick, catchy tunes, always performed with extreme energy.
Since the Time EP release in 2006, the band has received many positive reviews, including "One Louder Radio", "Record Scout" and "Rockfeedback.com", with MelonFarmers music described as, "definitely the kind of music that is hard to sit still to", "a sound that could easily convince crowds of people to get up and party at a live show" and "a breath of fresh air".
Selected tracks from the EP were also played over the air on Xtreme Radio (Swansea University station) , Radio Caroline (Pandoras RockBox) and Southampton Stadium Rock Show (The Saint).
The Time EP tour saw the band playing to enthusiastic crowds at many Bristol venues (Bierkeller, The Fleece, Louisiana, The Croft and the Carling Academy) and beyond (Agincourt - Camberley, London - The Orange Club, Lincoln - Rock Haven and Newport - Meze Lounge, to name a few..)
Early 2007 will see the release of new material, of which the best will be available on a new EP.
