SCIENTIST THE ORANGE PIP are a post-punk/prog-indie quartet from Plymouth, England who strive to stun audiences over and over with their unique and versatile 'Braid meets Pink Floyd'  euphoria.

A year and a half in, the band have had reviews, interviews and radio play coming out of their ears. Highlights include being featured as Steve Lamacq's Unsigned Band of The Week. The band have been receiving regular airplay on KSVY Radio in California for a year now, and were the first (and to this day; the only) unsigned band to break into their local student chart at number 26 beating the likes of Placebo, The Mystery Jets and Dirty Pretty Things to name but a few.

As for their live sets, they pack a massive punch. The band are always set to impress on the live circuit and won't leave a stage without making sure their  limbs are aching. The aura the band bring to the stage has seen them successfully confirm and complete gigs with the likes of Reuben, The Infadels, Enter Shikari, Failsafe, The Mentalists, Tribute to Nothing and Midasuno amongst many others.

Amongst all the guitars-in-the-air and sweaty stage antics are four diverse individuals, four people that believe that music is more than just playing an instrument, that music is an art, and art that Scientist The Orange Pip are determined to perfect and pleasure the worlds ears with.

What the Press Say

'...the well-crafted new wave shimmer of Scientist The Orange Pip, a new band well worth keeping your eyes pealed for.' 24/7 Magazine

'...swinging between the sensible and the illogical to leave you with a sense of disillusion and perplexity as you unravel each verse in your mind, seeking the true meaning...' Eyes On Exeter Magazine

'Equally keen to think outside the box are Plymouth's SCIENTIST THE ORANGE PIP. Post-Punk may have enough players on the field right now but on 'Such An Accident' these young lads outstrip the limits of their native city to arrive at a bristling sound that combines Braid's fragmented hooks with Stapleton's melodic suss to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their peers at an international level. Also excellent.' 24/7 Magazine
