Seatrees are a three piece acoustic/melodic band from South Somerset. In a time when music is filled with pop-tarts and production-pumped-image-based rock (apparently) bands, Seatrees are setting out to bring passion, intellect and harmony back into the mix.
The music began when Ed & Luke,
through a mutual love of surfing, became friends. They would talk
about music and exchange records, broadening one another's musical
knowledge, until the fateful day when the decision to write their own
songs came about. The two learned to play guitar and began to
create their own music.
Once they were comfortable with their material the two started playing
the local pubs under the name 'Seatrees' (If you want to know the story
behind
the name, you'll have to hunt down the band and ask them) and built
quite a local fan base.
Through a love of Pearl Jam, Ed met Daniel, who worked in a video store
blasting Temple of the Dog songs all day. The two arranged to have a jam
one day. They did. And the rest his history...
