It was in
the summer of 2005 when Stalking Tyler began. Two of the members, Josh
and Brian, had recently bonded over their love of music after an
awe-inspiring performance by Patrick Wolf and decided to form a band.
Then they found Tom "Tyler" Lewis. The duo had gone to primary school
with Tom but as he is 2 years older they never really met. However,
their paths were twisted and tangled at a rather sordid affair at some
beach party where Tom played the guitar and brought donuts. He was in.
After that and a lot of trouble finding a suitable bassist came Hallie.
'Nough Said. Since then they have been practising and playing together
creating their own songs with influences such as Radiohead, the
libertines, muse, pixies. Gigs have been regular at venues across Devon
in Seaton, Taunton, Plymouth, Beaminster and Axminster with many more
scheduled. They can often be found playing at the Smugglers Underground
Music Bar in Seaton or Rockers Live in Taunton. A large, committed fan
base is already starting to grow with the atmosphere at each gig growing
each time. In January 2007 they entered Coombeshead Studios in Newton
Abbot to work on their Highwaymen E.P which is out not and contains 8
tracks.
